"Wow, wow, wow. This was a delight of a find. Stunning location, super friendly staff and decent sized rooms. Located about halfway between Nanaimo and Ucelet/Tofino, its a wonderful small hotel with just a handful of rooms -perfect sized for a family of 4 and quiet. The lake is stunningly gorgeous and we made full use of the hotel's (free) kayaks and paddleboards. There is a hidden waterfall about 30 mins walk where you have to use ropes to get down (our kids, 9 and 14, LOVED it). We also saw the beaver (named Justin by the staff 😀). Basic complimentary pastries and tea/coffee for breakfast. Dinner was plentiful, delicious and not the standard fare - try the fry bread - and reasonably priced for the amount. Boats regularly parked up so must be a good place for locals too. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, which was the cherry on top of a wonderful 3 night stay.

We stayed at the Landing for 3 nights, and it was amazing. We didn't have the lake view room (I do suggest paying a little extra to get it, as the view to the lake is stunning), but overall our room was very nice. If you are checking in a little later, call them to let them know, as the front desk is not staffed 24/7, but honestly, it didn't bother us one bit. The service was super friendly, and since it is a small hotel, they take the time to chit chat with you. We loved having the restaurant on site and grabbed breakfast at Della's cafe (a small building by the Landing). Since it is a remote location meaning Port Alberni is the closest place and that is a 15min drive at least, it was super helpful to be able to grab breakfast and also dinner on site (helped a lot with meal planning). Overall great experience!

"Such a great find. Rooms were very quiet, and clean with an impressive view of the lake and beaver dam. Restaurant food was so good, reasonably priced with unique dishes. Got to use the kayaks on site, which was very convenient. Staff were extremely friendly. Great hiking nearby. Will definitely come back again."
